Bio

Jonette B. Owen, AuD, is the Associate Program Director for Clinical Education in the Osborne Audiology Department at the Elkins Park Campus of Drexel University in Pennsylvania. Dr. Owen’s experience is multifaceted, having served in clinical and academic settings, including substantial precepting and mentoring of audiologists. She manages the off-campus clinical rotation sites and oversees student placement during the off-campus rotations. Dr. Owen holds the rank of Associate Professor, teaching courses in Audiometric Principles, Medical Co-Management of Auditory Diseases,  Cerumen Management, Resume Writing and Interviewing to AuD students, and established the Standardized Patient program within the program. 

Clinically, Dr. Owen served as a clinical audiologist in multidisciplinary medical groups with hospital privileges and in private practice, where she specialized in advanced diagnostic testing and hearing aid dispensing.  

Dr. Owen obtained her AuD from PCO School of Audiology and a Master’s degree in Health Administration and Policy from Penn State University. Professional service includes both state and national leadership roles. She is a distinguished fellow of the National Academies of Practice and the recipient of the Osborne College of Audiology Alumna of the Year 2021.
