“A graduate and former faculty member of the University of Minnesota, Dr. Hunter developed the Au.D. program at the University of Utah in 2001. With more than 25 years of clinical, research, and teaching experience, she has authored numerous publications and presentations in pediatric audiology and currently serves as the Scientific Director for Audiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, as well as Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati. She has served our profession in so many different capacities, including co-chairing an NIH Research Symposium, collaborating on a longitudinal study of newborn hearing loss, funded by NIDCD, and past service as member of the Board of Directors of the Academy. But her real passion and enduring legacy is audiology education. As the current National Chair of ACAE, her task is not an easy one, but her absolute and unwavering commitment to the importance of ACAE’s mission and purpose is inspiring. This commitment is reflected in her tireless efforts on behalf of achieving independent accreditation for Audiology.”
President, American Academy of Audiology
