Bio

Alejandra Ullauri is a bilingual audiologist licensed in the state of Illinois with over 20 years of clinical experience and over 10 years precepting AuD students. Dr. Ullauri is the founder of Audiology En Espanol and the author of Audiology Services in Diverse Communities. Her professional interests include 1) monitoring outcomes in hearing technology users & improving cochlear implant utilization rate, 2) improving access and quality of hearing and balance care for the Latino/Hispanic community, and 3) helping prepare the next generation of audiologists to meet the needs of a multicultural and multilingual population. 

Dr. Ullauri currently participates as a Subject Matter Expert on pediatric hearing screening methods at the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Cochlear Implant Alliance and the National Association of Medical Spanish. She also holds the following credentials issued by the American Board of Audiology: Board Certified in Cochlear Implants (BCCI) and Certificate Holder-Audiology Preceptor (CH-AP).
