Initial Accreditation,

June 7, 2022 through June 30, 2032

On June 7, 2022, the ACAE Board of Directors, following the full review of the Profile Reports, Self-Study and Site Visit Report, voted to award the status of Accreditation for ten years to the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Program at California State University, Los Angeles.

The Accreditation Commission recognized the compliance of three standards as program strengths:

  • Standard 8: Facilities
  • Standard 10: Resources
  • Standard 14: Student Advising

The Commission noted three standards in Partial Compliance and a Plan of Action and Progress Report to be submitted by June 6, 2023, were requested for:

  • Standard 17: Mission, Goals and Objectives
  • Standard 18: Goals and Objectives Assessment
  • Standard 19: Systematic Process for Planning and Program Evaluation

The ACAE has requested that the program develop specific objectives and methods of measurement and benchmarks that demonstrate how the goals will be met and used to continuously review and improve the program.

As of August 1, 2023, Standards 17, 18 and 19 are found to be In Compliance.

Developing Status, October 11, 2017 to June 6, 2022

On October 11, 2017, the ACAE Board of Directors approved the Developing Status application submitted by California State University, Los Angeles. Developing Status allowed the California State University, Los Angeles to implement a Doctor of Audiology curriculum and to admit an initial class of students.

The Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Program at California State University, Los Angeles admitted its initial class of students in the winter of 2019.
