Initial Accreditation,
February 7, 2023 through February 28, 2033
On February 7, 2023, the ACAE Board of Directors, following the full review of the Profile Reports, Self-Study and Site Visit Report, voted to award the status of Accreditation for ten years to the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Program at California State University at Northridge.
The Accreditation Commission recognized the compliance of one standard as a program strength:
- Standard 23: Clinical Environments & Populations
The Commission noted three standards in Partial Compliance with a Plan of Action and Progress Report to be submitted by August 31, 2024, were requested for:
- Standard 26: Integrated Learning
- Standard 29: Number & Qualifications of Faculty
- Standard 32: Number & Qualifications of Clinical Instructors
As of April 19, 2023, Standard 32 was found to be In Compliance.
As of August 13, 2024, Standard 29 was found to be In Compliance.
As of October 8, 2024, Standard 26 was found to be In Compliance.
Developing Status, February 20, 2019 to February 6, 2023
On February 20, 2019, the ACAE Board of Directors approved the Developing Status application submitted by California State University at Northridge. Developing Status allowed the California State University at Northridge to implement a Doctor of Audiology curriculum and to admit an initial class of students
Developing Status does not indicate that the program is accredited, nor does it guarantee or imply ACAE accreditation of the program in the future.
The Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Program at California State University at Northridge admitted its initial class of students in fall 2019.
